Over the years, reviews of my books have been predominantly positive. However, some have been quite bizarre, leaving me wondering whether the reviewer had actually read the book. I am aware that other authors have had similar experiences.
So, it is always a pleasure and a relief to see a positive review appear. But, one review that I was particularly pleased to see related to my Anti-Racism for Beginners book (Avenue Media Solutions, 2021) that appeared in the Social Workers Union (SWU) newsletter in October 2021. The reason I was so pleased was that the reviewer’s honesty and openness were so refreshing in how she addressed the issue of fear.
