Recently, I found myself engaged in conversation with a remarkable woman, a couple of decades younger than I, a PhD who works at an executive level. I had been relating to her my quest to find something that could assist me in falling asleep and how I’d tried a CBD product to no effect. One thing led to another, and we were soon discussing drug use in general. Neither she nor I had ever been even tempted to try drugs and neither of us is a drinker so our conversation — more philosophical than judgmental — was more about pondering the state of mind that would lead a person to want to try something that might have the potential for becoming problematic in a variety of possible ways.
