René Descartes made an argument that “Cartesian doubt is a systematic process of being skeptical about (or doubting) the truth of one’s beliefs, which has become a characteristic method in philosophy” (Wiki). Western philosophy has dubbed Descartes as the “Father of Philosophy.” He questioned what was real and is widely known for the Evil Demon method where he reasoned that our very existence and experience was controlled by an Evil Demon.
