Fans of The Legend of Zelda have long been hypothesizing weird Zelda timelines. The series has grown its mythology over time with each new release, making it more complex. Whetting the imaginations of fans, Nintendo prefers to keep explanations of its timeline vague.
Although Nintendo has confirmed that Breath of the Wild belongs at the end of the Zelda main timeline, it has not confirmed whether BOTW converges the three timelines or belongs to only one of the three. This allows fans to hypothesize some weird theories to how the Switch entries of Zelda relate to and change Nintendo’s timeline, adding to the many weird theories about Zelda’s timeline.
