Final Fantasy VIII is one of my favourites and the Battle of the Gardens is a significant part of this with its adrenaline-inducing action throughout. For those who haven’t played the game, in Final Fantasy VIII you live in a mobile military school called Balamb Garden and the main villain in the game has taken over a rival school called Galbadia Garden. You go back to see your childhood home and Galbadia is there waiting for you.
Squall, the newly appointed leader has to give out orders to prepare everyone for battle which you can get wrong (e.g. grab all the hotdogs relating to how Zell keeps wanting a hotdog but never manages to get one from the school cafeteria). It doesn’t have a huge consequence other than affecting your SEED level which means reduced salary but you can recover from that quickly. The music is intense throughout this whole section.
