Once I drove out of Idaho, leaving all the good and toxic behind, it was just me and my self-converted 2015 Chevy Express van, Moonbeam.
`It was an incredible experience living vanlife, one I hope to describe more in detail in a future book. The freedom I felt to drive anywhere and stay as long or short as I wanted was the most amazing feeling. I met interesting people and experienced different cultures up close, even within the same city. I saw the beauty of this country from camping in the red rock desert of Sedona to parking next to the cold ocean shores of the Pacific Northwest.
