For me, he was one of the rare few who was actor first and star second.
I’ve always appreciated actors who we see on screen far more than off it. Those whom we develop a bond with through their characters and not an orchestrated persona. I imagine that’s not easy to do within an industry that demands you play the game and feed the stardom machinery.
