I very frequently setup Q&A sessions on my Instagram regarding Islam. One sister asked me about finding a husband in a halal manner, which means without dating / touching / being in a relationship first. This question hit so close to home so I figured I’d write a blog post about it.
I’ve definitely gone through episodes of feeling as though I’d never find a partner. Before I reverted to Islam and all the way up until my reversion, I was involved in some really traumatic relationships. All of which were pre-marital, none of which worked out even a little bit. It took me quite some time (3–4 years) to heal from all of that and to reset my heart and my mind when it came to the way I felt about men.
