When I told my dance teacher in Paris that I was going to see Madonna at the Accor Arena on November 19, he smirked and said, “What? She’s still around?”
He’s usually nice (though does have some of those undesirable stereotypical male proclivities), so I’ve tried to pardon it. But when we dance this coming Thursday, I am going to let him know just how problematic that comment was.
At 66, I am one year and fifteen days older than Madonna (we’re both Leos). So I figured that if she could get on stage and provide a high-energy performance, I could certainly go and cheer her on.
