Haven’t we seen this script before?
Yesterday, we saw a huge furore over the COP consensus document not mentioning anything regarding “phasing out/down” of fossil fuel use. Now that the text has been added, the volume has dimmed down, and the fine-reading folk are all that’s left, pointing out at the issues in the text. There is enough news articles about the headlines and general opinions on the text, so I will try to give a more detailed blowdown of the global stock take at COP28, pointing out the relevant points and see if the text amounts to more than that — Text.
