Why Am I Awake Right Now

Right now it’s 12:51 in the morning and I’m not asleep even though I have to wake up at 7:30. I got into bed with high hopes I wouldn’t be spending another night not being able to fall asleep.

Normally I would take a melatonin and just shut my eyes then boom! I hear my alarm the next morning, but unfortunately, it’s way too late to take melatonin.

At the beginning of the school year, I was convinced I could turn myself into a morning person because I cursed myself with an 8:35 am class this year. Why do I do this to myself every year?

I’m a night owl at heart but I know I can turn myself into a morning person because I have done it before. These past few weeks I have relapsed into a night owl.

Here are a few strategies that I’m going to use to get back on a consistent sleep schedule:

The best thing I use to help me fall asleep early is melatonin, now I don’t think melatonin should be a permanent staple in your nighttime routine, but I would recommend using it till your body becomes naturally tired at a normal time.
