this is my effort of trying to find humor and storytelling in an otherwise horrendous week.
last week i was in miami for a work trip. as friday was coming to a close i had planned a quick run before a sunset swim with my sister clari, followed by a postmates and movie night in before i flew back to new york the next day.
my evening run was hot and icky, as expected during hurricane season. in 20 min i had sweat through my clothes and was feeling invigorated! while my music blasts i think about how comforting and familiar this miami run route is. ive been doing it now for a few years, even as my life changes.
