The Las Vegas Raiders, despite a solid debut by rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell, lost to the Los Angeles Chargers, 24–17. With yesterday’s defeat, the Raiders’ win-loss record this season dropped to 1–3.
O’Connell, who started in place of injured veteran Jimmy Garoppolo, completed 24 of 39 passes for 238 yards and ran in a touchdown for the Raiders. Running back Josh Jacobs led the team in rushes with 17 for 58 yards and tacked on a touchdown of his own. Jacobs also recorded eight receptions for 81 yards while wide receiver Davante Adams added eight grabs for 75 yards.
