Design is planned, organized, systems and society-oriented creative work aimed at achieving technical finesse in products, innovation, improvement, facilitation, integration and problem-solving; keeping the human experience at the heart of all ideations. Fashion on the other hand, takes an irreverent stance towards anything established, planned; systemic and institutionalized. It is unplanned innovation at its best. In its truest sense it is antithetical to any set idea of innovation. To contain fashion within a universally agreed-upon definition is to kill it. The term ‘fashion design’ is an oxymoron.
