Discharge Instructions

Diagnosis:

Vertigo
Hypertension

Medications:

Meclizine: Take 25 mg by mouth 3 times a day (TID) as needed for dizziness.

Care Instructions:

Move slowly when changing positions to help reduce dizziness.
Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if you feel dizzy.
Monitor your blood pressure at home, if possible, and record the results to discuss with your doctor.

Follow-Up:

Follow up with your Primary Care Physician (PCP) this week to discuss your blood pressure management and address any ongoing symptoms.

Reasons to Return to the Emergency Department:

New or worsening neurological symptoms (such as weakness, numbness, difficulty speaking, or severe headache)
Persistent or worsening dizziness despite medication
Chest pain, shortness of breath, or sudden vision changes
