How to Manage Time More Effectively: Parkinson???s Laws

How many times have you left a project or task until the last minute, even though you knew you could have done it earlier?

Many times, right? (Don’t worry, I’m guilty of this too.)

Human beings are natural procrastinators; we love to conserve energy. That’s why we always leave everything until the last minute, which is the essence of Parkinson’s Law.

The first time I read about this concept was in Tim Ferris’s book, “The 4-Hour Workweek.” It was a real paradigm shift to discover that we can actually be much more productive than we think, as long as we understand some simple rules.

So, what are Parkinson’s Laws?

Parkinson’s Law, formulated by the Englishman Cyril Northcote Parkinson, states that “work expands to fill the time available for its completion.”
