My real name is Melissa Marins de Queiroz Ferreira, but since I was little everyone used to call me “Mel” as a nickname all the time. So I decided to change a little bit my second name by adding a “y” to “Marins” and it turned out to “Mel Maryns” which I love it and it’s so cool.
When did you discover your love for your craft and what made you realize you wanted to pursue a career in it?
I’ve been singing since I was a little kid, my dad used to play guitar, and there was always music in the house, we used to always sing together, and I always had this really good feeling when I used to sing as if that was my destiny.
