You may have read my Intel Mac stories about how exciting it was to switch from a PC to a shiny new Mac in 2006 and 2007. But, why am I wording it ”how exciting it was” instead of ”how exciting it is”? This is a complex topic and it will take some time to explain what I mean. I’m going to go through a LOT of historical reasons how PCs defined what a computer is, why in recent times we have seen PC users buying Mac hardware but seemingly (anecdotally) never caring for MacOS.
