The New Chronology as outlined by David Rohl suggests that Egyptian chronology should be lowered by some 300 years. Most interesting this Chronology claims the David Monarchy should be located in the Late Bronze Age II and not in the Iron Age as conventional chronology places it. The Late Bronze II is normally considered from about 1400 -1200 BCE. The New Chronolgy wants to lower those dates to about 1100 to 900 BCE. This would place the Late Bronze Age to the era of the United Monarchy of Israel. The dates of Israel remain the same because they are based on the Bible sequence and the scholars Thiel’s very well accepted formulation of the dates for Judah and Israelite kings.
