Clayton Kershaw, the Los Angeles Dodgers ace, made baseball history in his disastrous start against the Arizona Diamondbacks, swallowing a record number of airborne insects in just a third of an inning.
In an astounding achievement, the left hander consumed 53 mosquitoes, four beetles, two flies, and five moths in under a half hour. He also gave up six runs before recording his first out in the NLDS, a feat which also has never been duplicated.
