Kershaw Makes History: Swallows Record 64 Insects In Just 1/3 Inning In Diamondbacks Debacle

Clayton Kershaw, the Los Angeles Dodgers ace, made baseball history in his disastrous start against the Arizona Diamondbacks, swallowing a record number of airborne insects in just a third of an inning.

In an astounding achievement, the left hander consumed 53 mosquitoes, four beetles, two flies, and five moths in under a half hour. He also gave up six runs before recording his first out in the NLDS, a feat which also has never been duplicated.
