I have been struggling to pen down my feelings for this book as I just don’t think my words truly reflect how much I fell in love with it!
Chaudhry explores; Islam, death, hair, beauty standards and identity to name but a few.
The hair diaries chapter made me cry, the chapter on death and funerals made me have the very uncomfortable conversation of death and burials with my mum.
