If Donald Trump had not been President, he???d likely be dead.

Mr. Trump’s blatant disregard for the coronavirus and his befuddled, self-serving — even heinous — downplaying of the pandemic misled the nation, ultimately making him responsible for killing hundreds of thousands of people, many his supporters. [1,2]

Some died believing the toupé-toting demagogue had their best interests at heart. Others — like Kristin Urquiza’s father, Mark Anthony Urquiza [3], who as he neared death, wondered how he could have allowed himself to be so duped — came to realize before dying how severely they’d misplaced their faith.

Even so, Donald Trump’s blatant disregard for the coronavirus and his befuddled—even heinous—mishandling of the pandemic managed to safeguard the life of the one person he truly cares about.

Predicated on hoping fallout from the virus wouldn’t diminish his approval ratings and Covid would ‘disappear’ before election time, President Trump’s dereliction of duty toward the people of the United States excluded a single special American.
