I was boarding a Virgin Voyages cruise out of Barcelona so I decided to fly in a few days before. I did not have a preference where to stay so I looked up affordable options in American Express’ Fine Hotels & Resorts program. The Hoxton Poblenou happened to be the cheapest and nicest looking so I decided on that.
Location
It was not hard to get to the hotel from the airport. It’s a 20–25 min drive. When I arrived, the taxi queue was very long so I got a ticket on the Aerobús airport bus for ~7€, which was very fast and goes all the way to the city center at Plaça de Catalunya. From there, I took the metro four stops and walked to the hotel.
