Last week at the Hollywood Reporter’s Women In Entertainment gala, Will Ferrell delivered the opening remarks, in which he said that it’s time for women to start running the planet.
“I’m not just trying to placate you, I swear,” he said. “But I don’t know what else to do because we — men — we’ve been running the show since, what, 10,000 B.C., and we’re not doing so good. So, please, can you guys just take over?”
His plea was met with cheers and applause, of course. Who can argue that the world is going to hell in a handbasket? And what self-respecting liberal Hollywood celebrity wouldn’t agree that women should take the reins?
