My three-year-old daughter, Mya Jayn, attends a special education preschool Monday through Friday because she has speech and developmental delays. She receives speech and occupational therapy at school through an individualized education plan.
Since she began receiving these services in September, we have noticed improvements in her speech and overall development. For example, I was walking her home on Thursday, and we passed CVS Pharmacy. Her hand in mine, I stopped on the sidewalk in front of the store.
