I have never seen Juno. I begin with that fact. I’m not entirely sure why, but it feels relevant. One, because it’s a movie I know I would love; it just happens to be one of the many I know I would love but have still never taken the time to see.
Two, because when I first learned that Elliot Page had transitioned, one of my first thoughts was, “Am I not allowed to see Juno now? Did I miss the opportunity? And what about people who already love the movie? How are they supposed to think about it now?”
I guess my overall thought was, who is/was Ellen Page now that Elliot Page exists?
