Adapted from one of Bonnie’s August prompts) Secretly, you put a magical zucchini on your neighbor’s porch.
It was christmas of 2023 and the snow on the ground was a beautiful sight, and white fluffy dreams were floating across the moonlit sky. The cold winters moon was the first sign, that a deep freeze had set in and tempture’s would be falling quite rapidly.
My neighbors had no idea, what this christmas would bring them. They would soon see the joy, in the eyes of their little ones. It had been a terrible year for them, but I had grown a beautiful garden this past summer. I asked, Santa’ Clause if he would help me make a magical zucchini. The kind of zucchini, that would make every childs dreams come true.
Santa was a little bit skeptical at first, but when I explained the dire situation to him, he jumped on the band wagon of making a magical zucchini with me. I said, Santa! All I need is for you to sprinkle alittle bit of that elf dust on it, and it is a done deal! The zucchini magic will bring lots of joy, and cheer!
He said, “well I don’t have any elf dust available, would you like to know why?” I said, oh no Santa, why? He said, “Your little reindeer Asher over there just eat it all.” I said, Asher! No Ashing! Dang it, Santa I didn’t mean for him to eat it all. Santa in a firm voice said, “Well, tell that to the elves, when they ask me what happened to it all.”
