Residents and individuals in the vicinity shared their reactions to this incident. A local resident, who goes by PJ, described hearing what sounded like gunshots on Sharon Amity Road. Her account of the event is chilling: “Almost like a firecracker. I knew it was a gunshot, like pop, pop, pop, simultaneously.” PJ then saw an injured man in the middle of the street.
Another individual, Alen Trinidad, who lives and attends barber school in the area, expressed his alarm at the crime. “Definitely not a place you want to hang out,” Trinidad said. “It makes me feel not safe. It makes me feel like I have to be more aware of where I’m at and maybe look over my shoulder more than I already have to.”
