When I think about street art in Australia, I have to admit that Canberra never really came to mind. Save for following Happy Decay, I hadn’t yet become aware of artworks going up there and didn’t find much in my Google research. So when I had to head to Canberra for non-street art purposes, I used the opportunity to discover for myself the little known Canberra street art scene.

Canberra Graffiti is Banging
What struck me most about the street art in Canberra is how prevalent graffiti pieces are. While there is plenty of “street art” to be found, there is a helluva lot more graffiti on show, and the quality of this graffiti is freakin’ tops.
