In a capitalist economy, businesses often put short-term profit goals as the only guiding metric, obfuscating not only the environment, but their own employees’ and even customers’ interests. Profit is important, but it shouldn’t be alone in the bottom line; after all, your business doesn’t exist in a vacuum.
