Whenever black people bring up an injustice or hardship they face in society, white people will be quick to send their “sorry”s and condolences.
But that’s it.
It’s always a theatre of apologies even when they get caught in the act. But nothing ever changes. There’s never any reform, amendments, or rectification of the law.
At this point, I believe that’s what they want. They only care about us enough to console and sympathize with us, but not enough to create a more equitable life for all Americans.
