It’s no secret that the new way of consuming media — through short length video content, or infinite scroll feeds — has ruined our Attention spans. We know how bad it is, but I believe it’s infinitely worse than we think. We believe Attention is something we give, give, and give, but we fail to realize that we have a limited supply.
The idea I propose is a culmination of various concepts from authors, researchers & academics such as Daniel Kahneman, Keith Stanovich, Richard West, and Watler Mischel. This concept has intrigued me because it challenges traditional notions of discipline and how to develop further discipline, both in oneself and others.
