The holidays can be hard for many of us, but for so many different reasons.
This year, I'm terribly sad about not having the energy or mobility to do what I used to do. I'm trying not to let all of that sadness show, however, for my nine-year-old daughter who's still so happy and positive about Christmas.
I’m also trying not to be too sad about the stuff she has to or gets to do without me. Last night, she went to a lantern festival at our local zoo. She was so giddy, and I’m genuinely happy she got to go.
It’s just bittersweet that I couldn’t be there too.
