SDXL comes with 77 different predefined styles to choose from. I noticed that these make it much easier to define a simple prompt that creates good-looking images that reflect what you had in mind.
For full creative freedom you should go for a fully handcrafted prompt, but if you just want a fresh set of cool backdrops for your computer (which incidentally is exactly what I wanted here) they give you great results with minimal hassle.
As I’m using Automatic1111 I went for the StyleSelectorXL extension. Unfortunately this only shows checkboxes with names, not images. At the same time it’s time consuming but easy to generate all 77 images for a prompt. Which I did. Maybe they are useful for you.
