I flop down on the couch, grab my need-to-be-replaced-soon sneakers, and wriggle my feet inside. The dogs are yapping at me as it’s time for their walk.
It’s a three-part choir. My husband’s dog, Jasper, the poodle mix, sounds hysterical -- he always does. Mikhail, the Lhasa Apso, grunts and groans in a low baritone and wags his enormous flag of a tail. The most vocal is the teacup poodle, Peanut. He yaps coloratura soprano right in my ear.
