Most people I know would like to own a home one day. Many of them would also like to own several. And unfortunately, owning multiple homes is an ethical issue, but it's never spoken about as such.
We’re in such a late stage of capitalism, that it’s hard to imagine making decisions that aren’t monetarily driven. It forces you to ignore the ethical implications of the decisions you make; since you need money to survive. When a system has shown you that hoarding resources are the only way you’ll make it, why wouldn’t you? It’s a natural response to a system that’s made it clear it won't support you.
