Growing up as a Muslim can be quite the challenge. We try to get answers to many questions: What is harram (legally forbidden)? What is halal (legally obligated or permissible)? Who should I support? Black Lives Matter? LGBTQ+? Where do I stand in the “Science versus Religion” debate? The list of questions can seem endless. To make things worse, every few years, a controversy arises surrounding a national Muslim figure. It can be quite the whirlwind. What then? Especially for those who do not live in a community with many Muslims, it can be difficult to find guidance and direction. The internet is filled with different opinions that sometimes clash or contradict. In part two, we hope to give some clarity in trying to figure where to fit in all of this.
