What spurred this article was EA being called out for making fun of gamers who play single player campaigns. The irony is clear coming from a game publisher who profits from multiplayer games that embed predatory microtransactions into their titles.
So I thought it would be a good time to actually have an honest look at the state of multiplayer games. Just to be clear, I like multiplayer games and tend to have a healthy relationship with them nowadays. Although I recently realised that there are many flaws to putting time into online games that are not apparent in single player games.
