The following story was written in 2000.
When I first decided to pursue my writing career seriously enough to take a writing class or two, I had no idea that I would soon be the proud owner of a personal computer.
Computers were the future. The very far away future as far as I was concerned. I knew absolutely nothing about them. Nothing in the world was going to convince me that I needed one either. Pen and paper had worked fine for years. After all, I just wanted to take a class in writing, not a course on how to turn on a computer.
