Taco Mama is set to make its debut in downtown Athens this September, taking over the space previously occupied by Fuzzy’s Taco Shop at 265 N. Lumpkin St. Known for its delectable array of tacos, burritos, bowls, and hand-shaken margaritas, Taco Mama offers a unique dining experience that combines fresh and inventive Mexican cuisine with a fast-casual, relaxed atmosphere.
Established in 2011, Taco Mama’s roots are in Mountain Brook, Alabama, and it has since grown to encompass 24 locations scattered across the Southeast. The downtown Athens store marks the chain’s first foray into the Georgia market.
