I’m aware of no other jobs that have you do a task and then allow you, if you choose, hours to “dissect” your performance.
It’s called windshield time or seeing through your work. Long-haul trucking does this. Climb up and settle in to enjoy the grand view via this big window.
I never aspired to work as a truck driver. Most of my work life required slacks and button-down shirts, and no requirement to callous your hands. Jobs with detailed, cerebral thought and planning filled up most of my life.
