Just five days after the massive 1.0 launch, Pocketpair shipped a smaller follow-up patch focused entirely on stability rather than new content. Version 1.0.1 addressed four specific issues:
- A bug that could cause save data to be unintentionally lost after certain in-game actions — widely considered the most important fix in the patch.
- The Burning status effect incorrectly continuing to tick down health even after a player touched a Campfire, which should have cleared it.
- A PlayStation-specific save error that repeatedly triggered when returning to the title screen.
- An Xbox-specific freeze, lasting roughly 30 seconds, that occurred after using Fast Travel.
No new content, Pals, or regions were added in this patch — it’s a pure bug-fix update, and Pocketpair recommends everyone install it to protect their save files. As of this writing, there’s no officially announced date for the next update (1.0.2).
