The best compliment is to see women wearing the handbags I design.
What designer do you most admire and why?
When I was 15 years old, my mother gave me a book about the history of fashion. There, I met for the first time a group of Japanese designers whose disruptive work really fascinated me. Among Rei Kawakubo, Issey Miyake, Junya Watanabe, the one I most admire is Yohji Yamamoto for its ingenious, unconventional and avant-garde works. He is a poet by transforming the silhouette into a masterpiece.
