I’m happy to introduce the first publication of my research “Typologies of Delusion”, where I delve into the possibilities of generative AI and the reuse of historical archives. As part of this project, I created two artworks and a series of prototypes, which were presented at the Netherlands Institute of Sound and Vision during their RemixFest 2023.
The artworks consist of two large touchscreens, each measuring 65 inches, showcasing an extensive collection of AI-generated images. These images were created using Stable Diffusion XL as a base model and a series of five different LoRAs as refiners. The training data for these refiners came from various decades of the Dutch Newsreel Polygoon Journaal, a renowned collection preserved by the Institute.
