On a Saturday evening, in the 1100 block of Washington Street, the tranquility of the neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunshots. Little Rock police swiftly responded to a shots-fired call just after 5:15 p.m. What they encountered was a scene of utmost distress — a vehicle parked in front of the 12th Street Station with two teenagers inside, both suffering from gunshot wounds.
The consequences of the incident were tragic. One of the young victims, identified as 15-year-old Davin Holmes, tragically lost his life at the scene. The other victim, another 15-year-old, was rushed to a local hospital for medical treatment, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
