As a working class resident of Manhattan who lives above 60th Street and commutes daily to Chelsea every day, I support congestion pricing.
Public transit in Manhattan is world-class and is used by a most residents. On the weekends, trains are incredibly packed and I hope that the MTA iimproves service & headways to improve city quality of life. It is clear that subways are a critical piece of transportation infrastructure and cars are not. In fact, it seems like only a small fraction of employees would need a car to commute. An increased capital budget to fund travel expansion would be the most efficient use of public funds.
