The usual assumption in life is that when I say the word indigo as a descriptor, the person to whom I am speaking knows what what indigo is. If we were both looking at the image above, we would both know.
If you think about it, though, there are an awful lot of indigos, no?
Do I mean: indigo as in new jeans? Indigo like a navy blue? Indigo like real indigo dye? Indigo going toward turquoise? Or indigo going toward ciolet? It’s a lot to think about!
And most of the time, indigo is that color that most of us can’t visualize. Hint: it’s a deep blue-purple on the blue side.
