I’ve always worried about money more than the average person. I’m the eldest of 4 sisters and money used to be tight. I started working little jobs in my teens, saving the majority of what I made. The feeling of having savings was a great relief.
Later, when I wanted to be a writer, I didn’t initially choose that path because everyone told me I’d never make a living off of it. So I studied engineering and went to business school. Writing was just a side gig for many years.
Today, I am a writer and I make good money off it. But it was a long and tiring journey.
