Mine I mean, every road trip I’ve had, regardless of where I am going, it ends with José Agustín.
One of the lessons learned from this year has been the importance of setting expectations so, I am not assuming you know who José Agustín is and I will use this as an opportunity to talk about one of my favorite authors.
José Agustín Ramírez is a Mexican writer that taught me about 1960’s Mexico; he was part of a group of young writers that talked about rock & roll, psychedelics, and urban Mexican life. He liked to write about Acapulco too. He also taught me how mixing languages in specific moments makes complete sense.
