Mexico City Radio Stops Suffering

Let’s make one thing clear: this church is not a novice in broadcasting. In Brazil, where it was founded by Edir Macedo in 1977, the church owns the Record national television network and Record radio stations, purchased in 1999. (Record was a platform well used by right-wing president Jair Bolsonaro in his 2018 campaign.)

Its international network, Rede Aleluia/Red Aleluya, has a strong presence in Brazil but also in neighboring Argentina, airing on 106.3 FM in Buenos Aires and having built out a national network in recent years. The church also owns a part-time religious AM in Buenos Aires that airs some nonreligious fare. Red Aleluya also has outlets in Bolivia, Brasil, Panamá, Perú and Uruguay.
